Biography

Alejandro Diaz is an aspiring young photographer based out of Simi Valley, CA. His work is comprised of landscape work, travel/street photography and portraits with natural lighting. Alejandro is one of two siblings in a family of four and is of Mexican heritage. He enjoys going to the movies often, as many of the basics of cinematography can also be applied to photography. Cinematographers Roger Deakins and Greig Fraser are influences on his photography as well.

Artist Statement

As an up and coming photographer Alejandro hopes to promote a sense of relatability and calm in his work that can be appreciated and understood by all. The world around him is what motivates Alejandro to be a photographer. He sees people and places as a canvas to work with, which in turn motivates him to go places he might never have before. Alejandro lives in and through his photos and hopes he can evoke similar emotions in those viewing them.
